BC Family Day at the Museum - sign up for a free lino-printing workshop with Lana Jamieson!

February 18 10:00 am to 4:00 pm

BC Family Day weekend is coming up, and we are here for it! Come up to the Museum between 10 am and 4 pm Saturday, February 18th for a family-friendly snow day! We’ve got an epic snow maze, a tobogganing hill, snow painting, snowman-building, crafts, and more!

Of course, we’ll also have a campfire and serve up maple taffy, hot chocolate, and hot apple cider to keep everyone warm! We'll close out with a family-friendly film in the Cominco-wing theatre.

PLUS we are offering a FREE art workshop! Local artist Lana Jamieson will be leading a special lino-printing workshop at the Museum! Lana will provide the skills, tools, and materials to help you create your very own lino-cut pattern block and prints. Space is limited, so be sure to sign up early!

The workshop will run from 12:30 to 2:30 pm and is geared for family groups - book one spot per child! The process involves some sharp tools, so all youth under 12 must have a parent or guardian present at the workshop.

More info about the event and how to register for the workshop on our website: https://www.rosslandmuseum.ca/news/2023-family-day.

Funded in part by the Province of BC and Columbia Basin Trust.

We're open year-round! Tuesday to Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm - and open late till 7 pm Wednesdays!
