A Night Out in Rossland 7S Fundraiser @ Miners Hall

June 10 6:30 to 9:00 pm

Stake Your Claim to a Roaring Good Time for a Good Cause A Night Out in Rossland (ANOIR) is an annual fundraiser that supports the financial aid program to attend the Seven Summits Centre for Learning(7S). Governed by the charitable organization Vision for Small Schools Society, 7S operates the physical space for the learning centre and provides a high school education in partnership with Navigate-NIDES, an award-winning school recognized nationally and internationally for its innovative approach to blended learning. Leadership is provided by implementing the new BC curriculum and building unique and flexible learning options for every student to focus on each student’s interests, schedule, and abilities. This flexibility allows 7S to meet diverse student needs, abilities, and learning styles, including Special Education, High-Performance Athletes, Mental & Medical Health Supports, and Accelerated Learning. 7S is a public education in a private setting without an expensive tuition fee. However, the facility fee is a struggle for some families, so the VSSS provides financial aid to promote inclusion and attendance for all. The financial assistance program has continued; however, it has suffered during the pandemic as the ability to fundraise was severely limited. Introducing stage-right the event next Saturday. Saturday, June 10th, 6:30 pm-9:00 pm, the annual fundraiser is back! In collaboration with the Gold Fever Follies and Golden City Fiddlers, 7S is hosting a Gold Rush cocktail party at the Miners Hall. Themed around the Rossland Boom Town era, this party will be a roaring good time. Doors open to the ticket holders at 6:30 pm to enjoy vittles and drinks. This event offers a silent auction filled with over 35 sponsors, including, but not limited to, a Norco fat tire bike, barbeque, lawnmower, and packages at The Constella, Prestige Hotel, and The Josie, and golf packages, bike packages, and over $7000.00 of generously donated items to be bid on. As well, attendees can buy the gold bar, as every bar contains a prize, play the 50/50, and dance while enjoying the entertainment from the Golden City Fiddlers (Richie Mann) plays, and take a sneak peek at this summers Gold Fever Follies line-up. Enter the Miners Hall saloon to refresh yourselves with cocktails or mocktails and enjoy delicious party vittles. Tickets are $50 each and can be purchased at local businesses or directly at connect7sc@gmail.com by request. VSSS will provide a charitable tax receipt for all ticket sales and donations to the event.
