Winter Solstice Wonderment Workshop

December 21 2:00 to 5:00 pm

Winter Solstice Wonderment Workshop Saturday December 21st, 2-5 PM Join Lila Rasa + Danielle Hachey for this auspicious celebration! The Winter Solstice is a special time of year that’s been celebrated for centuries in the Northern Hemisphere as the shortest day of the year. It symbolizes both the movement within to an ever-still and quiet place, as well as the return to longer and brighter days. Join us for this age-old tradition, one in which we’ll move with conscious connection to breath, embody clear alignment and action in asana, go deeply within to honour the innate light held here, as well as the medicine of shadow and all it nourishes. We will practice the art of staying in curiosity and wonerment with all the turns of the season, the world and ourselves. Enjoy a Yuletide ritual to usher in the season as a community, alignment-based asana, Evolutionary Astrology, seasonal wisdoms from the. Ayurvedic tradition and the magic of two beloved friends who love to geek-out on all this! We will call upon the magic of the Universe that lives all around us and deep within us to remember what we know is true. As the Sun moves across the threshold of Capricorn, we’ll welcome the wisdom of this energy that invites us to be present, patient, and poised within ourselves, while also honouring the time of Saturnalia, a Roman Festival dedicated to merry-making and delight. This practice will weave together the intelligence of the Cosmos with our own inherent intelligence, unifying spirit, body, and mind in a balanced practice and one that prepares us for this sacred time of year. A warm seasonal elixir will be provided, please bring your journal and an item for the solstice altar!
